Calling all green thumbs

The Spokesman-Review

With the growing season upon us, I would like to encourage my fellow gardeners to plant an extra row or two of produce to give away. Some places, such as Second Harvest, might even be willing to pick it up.

For those of you who prefer to grow flowers, I would like to suggest finding an unused strip of land to beautify. The southeast corner of Maple and Wellesley is a good example. Several such areas exist along Driscoll Boulevard. Most people can think of other eyesores that could desperately use someone’s caring ministrations. Let’s make a group effort to bring about a transformation.
