Immigration costs mount

The Spokesman-Review

It’s understandable why people are up in arms over the law passed in Arizona recently, but I think it’s what this country needs regarding to taking a step towards getting a handle on the number of illegal immigrants that flood into the country every year. Yes, it is true that many of them come to get a decent job so that they can provide for their family, etc. But what some people don’t realize is that they are costing us money, money that we don’t have.

The national debt isn’t climbing down the ladder from the near $13 trillion that it’s currently at anytime soon. Hospital bills, traffic violations, and other bills failed to be paid by these illegal immigrants are punishing fellow Americans in one way or another. I don’t see how agreeably handing over your “green card” to a police officer, after already being pulled over for a violation, is wrong in an attempt to save a little green.
