Boy falls from third-story window

The Spokesman-Review
A 4-year-old Cheney boy was hospitalized Saturday after he fell from a third-story apartment window onto a car. The boy landed chest down on a windshield, but was talking to his mom and not crying when firefighters arrived shortly after 6 p.m., said Gary Hartford, Battalion Chief for the Cheney Fire Department. It’s unclear how the boy fell out the window at The Cedars apartment complex, Hartford said. When emergency crews got the residence at 105 N. 9th St., the window was open and the screen was on the ground. Cheney police are investigating the fall. The boy was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center as precaution, Hartford said. His condition was not known Saturday night.
