I-90 crash results in only minor injuries

The Spokesman-Review
A Spokane Valley man suffered only minor injuries Saturday when his pickup crossed the median of Interstate 90 just east of Liberty Lake and struck a semi-truck head-on, according to police. The Washington State Patrol said 27-year-old Jeremy B. Mundy’s 1967 Chevrolet pickup was totaled. The semi sustained $10,000 worth of damage and had to be towed from the scene. Mundy was taken to Valley Hospital and Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. The driver of the semi, 32-year-old Jerry W. Kenyon of Castle Rock, Wash., wasn’t injured. Troopers said Mundy was intoxicated when his westbound vehicle swerved into the median about 3:35 p.m. and knocked down a cable barrier before striking Kenyon’s eastbound truck. Mundy was taken to Valley Hospital and Medical Center. Troopers said he would be cited for drunken driving.
