Resident gets help after house fire
A home in the 5400 block of North Whitehouse Street was damaged by a fire Sunday, and the resident is being assisted by the Red Cross.
The exact cause of the fire has not been determined, said Spokane Fire Battalion Chief Bob Green. “The fire was believed to have started somewhere around the TV set,” he said.
There was little damage from fire but there was “a lot of really noxious black smoke. It covered just about everything on the first floor,” he said.
The fire was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m.
