Blaze leaves family homeless
A family of six was left homeless Tuesday after a fire destroyed their Airway Heights home.
The Airway Heights Fire Department, assisted by Spokane County Fire District 10, responded to the report of a trailer fire at 2002 S. Campbell Road about 3:30 p.m.
Crews arrived to find flames coming from both ends of the trailer, said Chief Jeff Witzmann. Three adults and three children escaped the blaze without injury.
The home was a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is providing emergency shelter, food and clothing for the family.
