Suspect sought in bank robbery
Authorities were searching Tuesday for a man who robbed a south Spokane bank, holding a bank employee to the ground at gunpoint.
The man walked into the Chase Bank branch at 3007 E. 57th Ave. about 6 p.m. and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Sgt. Dave Reagan, Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
No one was hurt in the heist. The suspect was described as white, 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He may have been wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet and gloves, Reagan said.
He was carrying a dull-black semi-automatic pistol.
The FBI assumed the lead in the investigation, Reagan said. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
