Spokane woman now facing forgery charges

The Spokesman-Review

A Spokane woman’s alleged attempt to hide her identity during a drunken driving arrest apparently backfired.

Spokane Valley police suspected Megan M. Managhan, 28, was drunk when she was stopped last week at University Road and Springfield Avenue for a suspected vehicle equipment violation.

But Managhan added to her charges when police say she used her 26-year-old sister’s name. Turns out the younger Managhan has a suspended license.

Police dropped that misdemeanor charge when they learned Managhan’s true identity after checking her mug shot and tattoos.

In its place are four felony forgery charges related to paperwork Managhan signed using her sister’s name, police said.

Managhan was re-arrested Wednesday. She’s already on probation for a drunken driving conviction in March.
