Battle without victory

The Spokesman-Review

In response to the May 9 letter about Chris Marr as a battler for education, I ask, what has he really won?

His reckless spending and budget votes, his first three years, has put education at risk. Only recently, as he faces re-election, has Marr shown restraint, sometimes voting against his party. But his damage is done.

Marr voted against Senate Bill 5955, which would have given principals tools to help students. He also voted for House Bill 2344, increasing college students’ tuition. Both hurt students, denying many access to institutions Marr claims to support.

Marr’s votes hurt Spokane and students. Spokane deserves better.

Michael Baumgartner is the answer. With vast experience and determination he’ll always fight for us. Please join me. Vote Michael Baumgartner, 6th District, Washington state Senate.
