12th Annual Basset Blast - “Red, White and Basset.” Hosted by Washington Basset Rescue and S.C.R.A.P.S. Featuring raffles, events, doggie favor bags, awards and more. Events include: Best Waddle, Best Howl, Best Costume, Best Bassett Photo and more. For photo contest, bring one photo, no larger than 4-by-6 inches. Contestants must be Basset Hounds or Basset mix. Family Fun Day/Centennial Camporee by Boy Scouts of America - A great family event with over 150 activities including archery, BB Guns, paintball, climbing walls, geocaching, horse riding, the snowboarding rail jam (with real snow), bike skills maze, obstacle course, mini-sailboat racing, helicopter landings, The Bubble Guy, military working dogs demonstrations, fire-fighting demonstrations and more. Haiti/Chile Relief Concert - Performances by Kinderchor of Spokane, the Haran Dancers, musicians from the Korean Presbyterian Church, The Angus Scott Pipe Band, the Kosher Red Hots and the Spokane Community Gospel Mass Choir.
