Incumbents should get out more

The Spokesman-Review

Several months ago I wrote to my two senators and Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, asking for their position regarding extending the same health care laws they are forcing us to live under to themselves and family.

I received polite replies from the senators extolling their virtues and assuring me they were “monitoring” the health care situation and working hard on my behalf. McMorris Rodgers actually told me her health care costs $400 per month and explained how good it was. None of them answered my question or even tried.

I note that two incumbents in other states, one Democrat and one Republican, recently got fired during their primary elections. I do not think this is coincidental. I’m fed up with all of them, and unless I receive promises that they will work to pass amendments to the Constitution requiring both term limits and requiring Congress to live under the same laws they force upon us, I’m not voting for any incumbent, be they Democrat or Republican. Please join me, or you may wake up one morning and find yourself in the same boat as Greece.
