In the girls singles bracket, Stime upended Walla Walla’s Katie Willis 6-3, 6-0 and will face Amy Scheumann of Wenatchee in the title match today at University.

In doubles, both GSL top seeds fell with Tom Geranios and Marshal McNally of Ferris losing 7-5, 6-1 to John Talbot and Travis Zuroske of Richland, while U-Hi’s Lauren Archibald and Cailynn Garcia exited in the first round with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-4 loss to Priscilla Cancado and Sarah Morgan of Southridge.

All of today’s 4A matches will be at U-Hi beginning at 9 a.m. The 3A regionals start at 10 a.m. at Rogers.

•Dustin McConell of Clarkston’s 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Nikhil Sablani of Pullman in the quarterfinals of the District 7 2A boys singles was just a window into the dominant day by the top seeds at the Washington State University courts in Pullman.

All four No. 1 seeds and all four No. 2 seeds advanced to today’s semifinal round.

Katlyn Maley’s RBI double gave Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia (7-11) all the cushion it would need as the Nighthawks held off Waitsburg-Prescott 4-3 in the title game of the District 9 2B tournament at the TRAC Center in Pasco. TOR beat DeSales 6-4 earlier and advances as the No. 1 seed to state. W-P is the No. 2 seed. DeSales earned the third and final state berth with a 21-0 win over Garfield-Palouse (8-9), which lost 1-0 to W-P earlier.
