Replace the relics

The Spokesman-Review

In watching the national news, reading various papers, it appears that the voters are doing things quite different. The old geezers, who have homesteaded their seats in Congress and states, are about to lose their gravy train.

Their relic minds can go home and think about all the bum decisions they have made because they were too old to see the modern ways to improve this nation. We are no longer in the Stone Age. Several states are letting candidates go, whatever party makes no difference. The old-time incumbents are on shaky grounds.

Voters, pay attention to the old-timers’ promises. Get them out and start anew with a younger group that can see what should and can be done. Change is good; let’s make them by ridding ourselves of these relics in office, regardless of party. Go to the polls and vote.
