Shameful political ploy

The Spokesman-Review

Yesterday I received a giant postcard from Cathy McMorris Rodgers asking, “Will you be able to attend my Veterans and Military Family Resource Fair?”

No, I won’t. I’m not in the military and have never been in the military. Furthermore, I’ve never voted for Cathy McMorris Rodgers, despite the campaign literature she sends out every spring of election years. Nevertheless, as a taxpayer, I’ve contributed to her political campaign, because, as it says on the giant postcard, “this mailing was prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense.”

I think that she will easily win re-election, but I believe Cathy McMorris Rodgers should be ashamed of herself for her shameless hypocrisy. She’s using our respect for the military and everybody’s tax money so that she can have another term.
