The first of two meetings to update the community on progress on the north Spokane freeway will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone St.

Washington transportation officials will have the latest information on progress north of Francis Avenue as well as updates on what to expect for finishing the freeway link from Francis to Interstate 90.

The event is a drop-in style open house.

The second meeting will be June 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.
