Police looking for missing child, mother

Spokane police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 24-year-old Spokane woman known to use drugs who apparently fled the area with her child after missing a court appearance today. Rebecca McDonald has a history of drug abuse, and is currently homeless, police said. Child Protective Services was in the process of obtaining custody of the child, Layton McDonald. Police said Rebecca McDonald fled with the child after missing a court date, and detectives are concerned about the welfare of the little girl. Rebecca McDonald is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 218 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The child, Layton McDonald, is 3 feet tall, 40 to 50 pounds, with brown shaggy hair. They were last seen in a 2003 White, 4-door Ford Taurus, Washington license 140-ZTK. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of McDonald and her daughter is asked to call 911 immediately.
