Bono’s got back, but it’s bad

U2 has postponed the 16 dates on its summer American tour – including a scheduled June 20 show in Seattle – because of Bono’s back problems.

The singer had emergency surgery last week after hurting his back during rehearsals.

“Our biggest and I believe best tour has been interrupted and we’re all devastated,” band manager Paul McGuinness said.

“For a performer who lives to be on stage, this is more than a blow. (Bono) feels robbed of the chance to do what he does best and feels like he has badly let down the band and their audience.”

Live Nation, which is promoting the “U2 360” tour, confirmed that the U.S. dates will be rescheduled for 2011.

Back to basics for her

Christina Aguilera also has delayed her summer tour, saying she needs more time to prepare.

The tour has been moved to 2011 because she is busy with her debut film, “Burlesque,” and her new album, “Bionic.”

The film is due in November, the album on June 8.

Whole lot of heart

Poison frontman Bret Michaels says he’s not 100 percent yet, but he plans to resume his tour starting tonight in Bilox, Miss.

“With all of my heart, soul and the remaining organs I have left … I would like to thank each and every one of you for all of your support and awesomeness,” Michaels says on his Web site.

He suffered a brain hemorrhage in April, had a stroke last week and faces surgery for a hole in his heart.
