Spokane Chiefs lose at Prince Albert
PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan – The Spokane Chiefs’ recent domination of the Prince Albert Raiders ended Wednesday night, although the final score didn’t reflect the action on the ice.
Todd Fiddler’s goal with 11 seconds left in the first period snapped a 2-all tie and sent the Raiders (6-8-2-2) toward a 5-2 Western Hockey League win at Art Hauser Centre.
Spokane (7-8-0-0), which has defeated the Raiders during their single meeting in the last four seasons, outshot PA 36-27 and applied offensive pressure all night. The Chiefs are 2-2 on their Eastern Conference swing and had won two straight.
Levko Koper scored his eighth goal of the season for Spokane and Brady Brassart had his first. The goals came 61/2 minutes apart in the second period and erased a 2-0 deficit.
