Grant County woman pleads guilty to rape of child

Associated Press

EPHRATA — A Grant County women accused of sexually abusing her children and broadcasting it on the Internet has pleaded guilty.

The 30-year-old Warden, Wash., woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in Grant County Superior Court to four counts of first-degree rape of a child.

Police say she performed various sex acts on her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son.

The Grant County sheriff’s office says the woman took photos and made videos that she sent to people through an Internet chat program. Authorities were alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Each count of child rape carries a possible sentence of 20 years to life in prison. She is scheduled to be sentenced in December.

Four counts X 20 years each = 80 years, if served consecutively, and without parole. She is now 30 years old. She’d get out at 110. Sounds fair to me. Or, if parole consideration is mandatory, give her four consecutive life turns, if that means she’d stay in jail longer!

By the way, pictures are “hung”; humans are “hanged.” (My old English teacher drummed that into my head decades ago!)
