What are people thinking?

As I read the election results and acknowledge how “angry” people of the United States are toward their government (mostly because of unemployment and money), I still don’t understand – especially our local voters.

Many communities are hurting because of lack of funding for many things, yet Spokane voters turned down at least two initiatives that would have helped fund educational and social help for our kids (I-1098 and R-52), and they would have only cost cents on the dollar.

We are falling behind other countries in education, and our kids are acting out, quitting school and being abused. Yet, Spokane voters turned their backs on our kids, our future, to protect their pockets. I don’t know of anything more selfish.

Shame on you, Spokane!
