Tribe ceremony honors veterans

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s Veterans Program is hosting a ceremony at 11 a.m. today at the Warrior and Veterans Memorial in Plummer, Idaho.

American Legion Post 5 will present colors. There will be an opening prayer and a wreath-laying. Vice Chairman Ernie Stensgar and Treasurer Norma Jean Louie will be speaking about the contributions and sacrifices of veterans. Also, there will be a reading of the names of the deceased.

The event is open to the public.
