Man stabbed leaving party

One of three men walking away from a party near Standard Street and Cozza Avenue early Thursday was stabbed, Spokane police said.

The assailant approached the men as they were walking, and an argument ensued. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground; the victim didn’t realize he was stabbed until after the confrontation ended.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but his wounds were not life-threatening.

Officers searched the area but were not able to find the assailant, described as black, 6 feet tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red bandanna. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233
