Police look for South Hill stabbing suspect

 

Police are looking for a man suspected of stabbing another man early this morning in the South Hill neighborhood.

The victim, a 32-year-old white male was stabbed on the 1000 Block of S Maple St. in the abdomen around 1:30 a.m. Medics treated him at the scene and transported him to a local hospital. He is in serious but stable condition and is undergoing surgery.

Police set up a perimeter around the scene and conducted a K9 search for the suspect. The K9 was unable to locate the suspect. They are following up on leads to identify and locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, with blond hair and a medium build. He was wearing an Atlanta baseball cap, a blue coat and jeans. He was last seen running from the scene, the south on S Maple St.
