1 dead in Grant County shooting

A man in his early 20s was shot and killed in Mattawa, Wash., on Sunday. No one has been arrested in the murder and no suspects have been named. The victim was found dead outside trailer 23 at the Riverview Trailer Park in Mattawa. Police were called about 6:30 p.m. The victim lived with several roommates who told investigators he was not involved in gangs or drugs. But the roommates “have little information as to the victim’s identity” or who would want him dead, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Neighbors reported hearing several gunshots but nothing else, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators have not identified the caliber of gun used in the murder. The sheriff’s office is investigating with the Mattawa Police Department.
