Detour due tonight on U.S. 2 in Mead
Southbound traffic on U.S. Highway 2 near Mead will be diverted onto a detour route tonight so that a striping crew can installed recessed pavement markers.
The detour begins at 7 p.m. and will run on Market Street to Farwell Road. The diversion will last until the work is done early in the morning on Thursday. Northbound traffic will be limited to a single lane.
The recessed markers are intended to help motorists see the lanes at night and during rain storms.
