A three-car accident Friday on Highway 95 south of Coeur d’Alene closed the road for a couple of hours and sent one woman to a hospital.

According to the Idaho State Police, Angela Thompson, 32, of Plummer, was northbound on U.S. 95 when she lost control of her Lincoln Town Car and hit two southbound vehicles, a Dodge Caliber driven by Patricia Kienow, of Coeur d’Alene, and a Chevy Astro van driven by Katherine Wallace, 23, of Post Falls.

The road was closed for nearly two hours at milepost 427 near Cougar Gulch Road.

Kienow was taken to Kootenai Medical Center and has since been released. Thompson was cited for inattentive driving.
