Fire damages three CdA businesses

Three businesses in a Coeur d’Alene strip mall were badly damaged by a fire Saturday night, and fire investigators are seeking a cause.

The fire was reported at 8:18 p.m., with police and firefighters responding to 2928 N. Government Way, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department. No one was injured, but the building and several businesses suffered major damage, the department said.

They include Performance R/C Hobbies, a shop specializing in remote-control vehicles, where the fire apparently started. The fire also damaged Motion Sports Dirt Bikes and caused smoke damage in an adjacent flooring store.
