Final Dodgers’ owners Jamie and Frank McCourt, who are embroiled in a divorce dispute that could decide ownership of the team, are officially single. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon approved terms of the breakup late last month but the decision wasn’t made public until Tuesday. The McCourts are awaiting Gordon’s decision on whether a postnuptial marital agreement they signed in 2004 is valid. The 10-page document exists in two versions – one that gives Frank McCourt sole ownership of the Dodgers, and one that doesn’t.

Introduced New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson introduced Terry Collins at Citi Field as the 20th manager in Mets’ history. He said New York’s minor league field coordinator last year was the right man to help rejuvenate a club that languished at the bottom of the N.L. East the past two seasons and has not been to the playoffs since 2006. Collins signed a two-year contract with a club option for 2013.

Staying First baseman Aubrey Huff is staying put with the San Francisco Giants, agreeing to a $22-million, two-year contract with the World Series champions. Huff receives $10 million in each of the next two seasons, and the Giants have a $10 million club option for 2013 with a $2 million buyout.

Fired Ball State has fired football coach Stan Parrish. Athletic director Tom Collins says it was time for a “change in direction.” Parrish stepped in for Brady Hoke to coach the Cardinals in the GMAC Bowl after the 2008 campaign, then led the team to a 2-10 finish the next season and a 4-8 record this year.

Out New Jersey Nets’ sixth man Terrence Williams will miss the next two games because of repeated violations of team rules. Nets coach Avery Johnson would not discuss specifics. The coach says Williams has been fined a couple of times and the message has not sunk in.

Injured Colorado forward Macoumba Kandji tore his left ACL on the game-winning goal that gave the Rapids their first MLS championship. Kandji, who replaced Omar Cummings in the 98th minute of the title match against FC Dallas on Sunday in Commerce City, Colo., was hurt on the game-winning goal just 9 minutes after entering the game.
