Prep roundup: Vikings rout Hawks

Sydney Williams netted a game-high 18 points and Erin Legel chipped in with 16 points to power the Coeur d’Alene Vikings to a 70-18 non-league victory over the Lakeland Hawks on Tuesday in Coeur d’Alene.

Carli Rosenthal added 12 points for the Vikings, who jumped out to a 19-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Neena Buchmann and Kerstyn Reed each scored six points to pace the Hawks.

Coeur d’Alene got scoring from 11 of the 12 players who participated in the game.

The Vikings stretched their lead to 36-7 at halftime and 62-15 at the end of the third quarter.

Post Falls’ Inland Empire League 5A game at Lake City was postponed due to inclement weather. No makeup date was announced.

Elsewhere, Clark Fork’s nonleague game at Priest River was postponed due to the weather. No makeup date was announced.

Also, Moscow’s nonleague contest at Lewiston and Bonners Ferry’s nonleague game at Sandpoint were postponed due to weather concerns. No makeup dates were announced.
