Your week

YOUR HEALTH

Need to calm down? You might be better off doing some yoga than going for a walk (particularly in this snow).

Those in the yoga group saw better changes in mood and less anxiety than those in the walking group, researchers found.

YOUR HOME

If your vinyl floors are yellowing, rubber-backed rugs and bathmats could be the culprits.

According to the Armstrong flooring company’s website, some chemical compounds added to rubber to extend its life and prevent brittleness can react with ingredients in flexible vinyl to produce a yellowish stain.

To be safe, make sure that the rubber products you buy are marked as nonstaining.

YOUR FOOD

A salad might not sound so soothing in this weather, so consider cooking your lettuce instead.

Stir-fried lettuce pairs with teriyaki tuna and fluffy rice for a quick, comforting Asian-style meal. Look for the full recipe on page C5.
