Almira, Wash., woman dies in car rollover

A 68-year-old woman died Thursday morning when she was ejected from her car in a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 2, four miles west of Wilbur, Wash.

Joyce M. Hansen, of Almira, Wash., was eastbound about 10:30 a.m. when she drove off the road, overcorrected and rolled her 2001 Chevy Tracker twice. It came to a stop in a roadside ditch. She was ejected from the car and died at the scene, police said.

Hansen had not been wearing her seat belt, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol. Drugs and alcohol were not involved, troopers reported.
