Rain showers ending by noon

Rain showers this morning in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene should give way to breezy weather this afternoon. The high temperature will be cooler than Sunday, reaching the lower 60s. Rain showers are expected to end after 11 a.m. Wind gusts could reach 18 mph this afternoon. Sunday saw the start of more autumn-like conditions with a high of 67 at Spokane International Airport. Rainfall on Sunday was measured at 0.06 inches. The highs on Friday and Saturday reached 81. A low pressure system off the Pacific Ocean has moved onshore, bringing the change from summer temperatures last week. The weather should warm at midweek with highs Tuesday in the upper 60s rising to the lower 70s by Wednesday. At 7 a.m., it was 51 at Spokane International Airport, 54 at Felts Field and Coeur d’Alene, 52 in Deer Park and 49 in Pullman.
