Hauser Lake warning lifted
A health advisory issued last week for the Hauser Lake shoreline has been lifted.
Panhandle Health District and the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality had issued the advisory due to blue-green algae identified in water samples along the lake’s shoreline, a health district news release said.
Blue-green algae are naturally occurring, microscopic bacteria that can produce toxins harmful to humans and animals. The algae appear to have dissipated, but residents are advised to keep an eye out for reappearance, the release said.
