Follow the leaders? Baa

Most people in power are full of self-importance which overrides common sense. These people feel that they can do whatever they want and seem to do so every 10 minutes. They can be found anywhere, but a lot of them seem to congregate on Capitol Hill.

Election times are coming, so many of our elected officials are taking time off (with pay) to campaign. They all do it, and we go along with it like sheep to slaughter.

The president takes time off to campaign for his constituents and on our nickel. The cost of flying him around is unbelievable and paid for with tax money just like his wife’s vacation to Spain. Elections come and go, but the political finagling and spending don’t.

Congress has quit working on what they should be doing for fear of screwing up the elections by taking a stand on politically hot topics. In other words, they quit working on any controversial subjects until the elections are over. We pay them for this. Why don’t the taxpayers object? Good question.

Like sheep to slaughter we follow our political leaders who are run by lobbyists, money and minority groups.
