Three children allegedly abducted by their father Wednesday in Spokane were found safe today in Butte, Mont., with the father, Chad Phillips, 33, police say.

Montana State Department of Family Services placed an emergency hold on Kaleb, Dawson and Bishop Phillips. The children will be turned over to the Washington state Child Protective Services office in Spokane, which will complete its investigation into the custodial matters.

An Amber Alert to help find the missing children has been canceled.

Missing were Kaleb, Dawson and Bishop Phillips.

At 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Superior Court awarded custody of the children to their mother. Chad Phillips was also present, and he took the children after the court appearance, police said.

Kaleb is 10, Dawson is 8 and Bishop is 6.
