SPOKANE VALLEY – Spokane Valley Partners is collecting donated items for its third annual Ladies Night Out fundraiser set for Nov. 4. The theme of the event is “Fire and Ice” and the nonprofit organization is looking for items for silent and live auctions. CenterPlace plans anniversary event

SPOKANE VALLEY – CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, will hold its five-year anniversary celebration on Oct. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. The festivities will include appetizers and a no-host bar provided by Red Rock Catering.

CenterPlace is a city-owned event center, perfect for community meetings, regional conferences, weddings, reunions and other special events.

Brew festival held at Fair and Expo Center

FAIRGROUNDS – The Inland Northwest “OctoBrewFest,” to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, will be Saturday at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The brews and bid event will include microbrews, wines, draft root beer and an auction. Items include artwork; microbrew tastings; jewelry; wine tasting parties; autographed collectibles by sports celebrities; golf packages; gift certificates and more.

Tickets are $13 per person in advance or $15 at the door. Admission includes four beer sample tokens and a commemorative mug. Additional tokens are $1 each. Food by David’s Pizza and Azar’s will be available to purchase.

County libraries will be closed Friday

SPOKANE COUNTY – All Spokane County Library District facilities will be closed on Friday for staff development and training.

Regular library hours will resume on Saturday.

Spaghetti feed to benefit ALS group

SPOKANE VALLEY – The third annual spaghetti feed, hosted by Angels Among Us, will be on Sunday, from noon to 7 p.m. at Aracelia’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, 7905 E. Trent Ave.

The dinner will benefit the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) Service Organization.

Cost is $8 per plate and children age 5 and younger eat for free.
