World’s fate at risk in ‘Jonah’

Hiccup, voiced by Jay Baruchel, rides Toothless in “How to Train Your Dragon.”
Philadelphia Inquirer

“Jonah Hex”: Josh Brolin, wielding twin Gatling guns and mumbling impenetrably, stars as the vengeful, kind of supernatural bounty hunter of DC Comic fame. Mercifully fleet and lamentably uninteresting, with Megan Fox as a pistol-packin’ prostitute who accompanies Hex as he sets out to, yes, save the world. (1:21; PG-13 for violence, disturbing images and sexual content) • 1/2

“How to Train Your Dragon”: DreamWorks’ CG-animated tale about a wimpy viking kid who befriends a big flying dragon, and the revelations that come from learning that fire-breathing mythical beasts have feelings, too. Lighthearted, rowdy fun. (1:38; PG for scary images and language) • • •
