Four involved in two-car crash

Four people were hospitalized Saturday after a two-car collision near Post Falls.

A 2000 Pontiac Montana minivan driven by Michael W. Lyman, 19, was southbound on Greensferry Road abut 5:30 p.m. and failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting a 2006 Toyota Camry driven by Rebekah D. Bryant, 34, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

Lyman and his passenger, Candice M. Lyman, 57, were taken to Kootenai Medical Center via ambulance.

Rescue personnel had to pull Bryant and her passenger, Jacqueline J. Bryant, 60, from the vehicle before they could be taken to KMC.

Lyman was released; the conditions of the other patients weren’t known Saturday night, deputies said.

Lyman was cited for failing to stop at a posted stop sign and failing to display insurance information.
