Auditions

Coeur d’Alene Resort Holiday Variety Show – Musicians, jugglers, acrobats, magicians and performers of all kinds are welcome to audition Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at the resort, 115 S. Greencastle Soap Making Classes – Advanced Soap Making: Explore the world of soap and color, learn what works from the kitchen, how to make swirled bars, and how to calculate your own soap recipes as well as discuss goat’s milk soap and pigments versus dyes. Prerequisite: Beginning Soap Making. Tuesday-Wednesday, 7-9 p.m., $55 (includes materials). Beginning Soap Making: Hands-on class teaches the basics of cold process. Participants design their own fragrance and take home more than 2 pounds of soap. Nov. 10-11, 7-9 p.m.; or Nov. 12, 7-9 p.m., and Nov. 13, 9 a.m.-noon. Fun With the Brush – Sumi-e (Asian style painting in watercolor) and Japanese calligraphy (writing) classes. Six-week sessions begin Oct. 28.
