In brief: Coats, warm clothing to be distributed

SPOKANE VALLEY – Spokane Valley Partners, 10814 E. Broadway Ave., will distribute coats and winter clothing to Spokane Valley children and adults in need beginning on Monday and will continue through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Coats and clothing can also be picked up on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 1 through Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required, but Spokane Valley residents will need to bring picture identification and proof of residency. Documents including a name and Spokane Valley address dated within the past 30 days, such as a bill, rent receipt, personal mail or school record will be acceptable for proof of residency.

This event is part of of the Coats 4 Kids campaign.

Rocky Hill project plans celebration

LIBERTY LAKE – The city of Liberty Lake will celebrate the grand opening of phase two of Rocky Hill Park on Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.

The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Funding Board provided funds for the project and the land was donated by the Greenstone Corp.

Ladies Night Out offers dinner, auction

SPOKANE VALLEY – Spokane Valley Partners will host its annual Ladies Night Out fundraiser Nov. 4 at the Mirabeau Park Hotel at Interstate 90 and Sullivan Road.

The event includes a light buffet dinner and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by a live auction at 7 p.m. Items up for bid include jewelry, clothing, gift baskets, quilts and gift certificates. The big ticket item of the night is a seven-day cruise for two to either Mexico or the Caribbean.
