Spokane minivan converted to haul stolen gasoline

Two men were arrested for theft on Sunday night by Spokane police after they were caught in a mini-van that had been modified to hold hundreds of gallons of gasoline. David M. Dawson, 32, and Ricky E. Marsh, 38, were booked into Spokane County Jail on felony charges of retail theft. Police responded to a Pacific Pride station at 144 E. Jackson Ave. about 10 p.m. on Sunday and found two men attempting to take gasoline from in-ground tanks, according to police. Police said the thieves had converted the interior of the van to hold large quantities of gasoline. Arresting officers said the two men had been at Pacific Pride earlier in the evening to steal gasoline.
