3 died in plane crash in southwest Washington

Associated Press
CHEHALIS, Wash. — The Lewis County sheriff’s office says there are no survivors in the crash of a plane with three people on board in southwest Washington. When a ground team reached the site today about 10 miles northeast of Morton, it found the plane had disintegrated on impact in rugged terrain. The pilot and two passengers took off Monday from Chehalis for Lewiston in a plane registered to Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Chehalis. About 10 minutes into the flight the pilot of the twin-engine Cessna radioed that he was turning back because he lost power in one engine.
