Tactics sully campaign

Michael Baumgartner’s Blackwater dirty tricks may have served him well while in Iraq, but they are not welcome in Spokane. Lies and innuendo are tools used only by those who do not really believe in public discourse and public service.

For him to besmirch a man of great character such as Chris Marr is unfathomable. Chris has worked hard in Spokane to build a business, provide good jobs, raise a family and contribute his valuable time freely to the community on numerous boards and commissions.

For Baumgartner, who has contributed nothing to our city, to attack one of Spokane’s selfless civic leaders with falsehoods is typical of today’s divisive politicos who play politics at its most dismal.

Hypocrisy rules in Baumgartner’s case. His very same hit piece that lambastes Chris Marr for agreeing with Seattle’s legislators is paid for by big-money-West-Side lobbyists. Say no to Baumgartner’s dirty tricks, and vote for Spokane’s proven and hard-working legislative leader. Keep Chris Marr working for us.
