Girl’s injuries resulted from jump from car

Police say the teenage girl who was seriously injured after falling from a moving vehicle on Friday was arguing with her mother when she jumped out of the car. Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Unit investigated the incident, which occurred on Downriver Drive between T.J. Meenach Drive and Columbia Circle. Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer DeRuwe says police responded but will not file any criminal charges.
