Imports join Gee’s auto line

Site offers comparison without lot hopping

Staff Report

Liberty Lake vehicle dealership George Gee Automotive has opened Gee Imports, which will sell a cross-section of foreign vehicles.

The lot will take over the former Gee Hummer location on the north side of Interstate 90, at 21602 E. George Gee Ave. Company CEO Ryan Gee said the goal is to make more quality, efficient import vehicles available to Gee’s regional customers.

The import group will have more than 120 cars, minivans, SUVs and pickups available, said import sales manager John Paine.

The selection will lean toward preferred brands such as Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan and Mazda, he said.

He said some West Side companies have created one-stop used car shops just to help customers who otherwise have to compare imports by hopping from dealer to dealer. “We got the idea from them,” he added.

The dealership is hosting a grand opening Thursday through Nov. 7.

After being started by George Gee 27 years ago, the dealership sells new GMC, Cadillac, Porsche, Buick and Kia vehicles. In recent years two brands sold at Gee, Pontiac and Hummer, were shut down nationally.
