Troy Clute has been hired by Guild Mortgage as branch manager. He previously worked as a branch manager for Countrywide/Bank of America. He has 14 years of mortgage industry experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Washington University. The company has also hired Teri Jo Carter as a senior underwriter. She has 17 years of experience working in the Spokane mortgage industry and previously worked as a senior underwriter for Bank of America Home Loans.

Winderemere Real Estate/Valley Inc. has hired Claire Peterson and Nick Granly as sales associates for the company’s Spokane Valley office.

Sandi Heffernan has been hired as corporate controller for Red Lion Hotels Corp. She previously worked for Nighthawk Radiology Holdings Inc. in Coeur d’Alene as senior director of financial accounting and reporting.

Gary Anderson has been hired by Sterling Savings Bank as vice president of the company’s Private Banking office in Spokane. He previously worked for Washington Trust Bank as a private banking senior relationship manager for the past 13 years. He has more than 35 years of banking experience and is a graduate of Washington State University.

Lite-Check has hired Brad Andersen as an electrical engineer. He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University and has extensive engineering experience.

Ian Morse has been hired by Mechanical Engineering Consultants as a mechanical engineer. He previously served as an energy efficiency intern for the Idaho Small Business Development Center and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in biomedical engineering from Boise State University.

McDirmid Mikkelsen and Secrest, P.S., has hired Katie Ness as a staff accountant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting from Washington State University. The firm also hired James Lewis as a staff accountant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in professional accounting/information systems from Eastern Washington University. Kirkpatrick and Startzel, P.S. has hired Richard Wentmore as a trial litigator focused on civil litigation and insurance defense. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southwestern Adventist University and is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Washington and Colorado.

Promotion

Main Market promoted Jeanette Hamilton from assistant manager to general manager. She has served as interim general manager since May.

Kudos

Glen Grussaute is the first recipient of the Otto Zehm Memorial Award for his contributions to the rights and advancement of people with disabilities. He has served as president and CEO of Skils’kin for the past seven years.

The Spokane Catalyst Awards presented Norm Leatha with its Mentor of the Year Award during the fourth annual event held on Oct. 6. Leatha is assistant director and entrepreneur in residence for Gonzaga University’s Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program.

Gonzaga Preparatory School received $5,200 from Ford Motor Co. and Wendle Ford. The money was raised through Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program.

Appointed

Shelly Enderud has been appointed by Idaho Gov. Butch Otter to the State Building Authority through January 2016. Enderud is finance director/city treasurer for the city of Post Falls. Phillip Carstens has been appointed administrative partner of K&L Gates LLP‘s Spokane/Coeur d’Alene office.

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant appointed Milo Salois as general manager of the company’s new Northpoint Plaza restaurant in North Spokane. He previously served as general manager of the Olive Garden in Coeur d’Alene and has been with the company for more than 12 years.

Elected

The American College of Clinical Pharmacy has elected Lawrence Cohen as president-elect. Cohen is a professor of pharmacy at Washington State University.

Thomas Tiffany has been elected as a director of GenPrime‘s board of directors. Tiffany is president and CEO of PAML. The board also elected Tom Simpson as a director. Simpson is founder of Northwest Venture Associates and co-founder of GreenCupboards.
