• Jimmy Turner and Joel Bagby scored goals in the first 4:13 of the match and the UC Irvine Anteaters rolled to a 4-0 win over the Gonzaga Bulldogs in a season-opener in Irvine, Calif.
Kayla Bowers netted a hat trick and the visiting Timberlake Tigers breezed to a 5-1 victory over the Orofino Maniacs in Intermountain League play.
Bowers scored her first goal late in the first half and added second-half tallies in the 58th and 78th minutes.
Boys soccer
Timmy Mueller knocked in two goals and added two assists and the visiting Post Falls Trojans rallied from a three-goal deficit in the first half to beat the Lakeland Hawks 6-3 in Inland Empire League 4A action.
