3 officers shoot armed man in Vancouver, Wash.

Associated Press
VANCOUVER, Wash. — A man who refused to put down a gun was shot and killed by three officers early today in Vancouver. The Columbian reports police had responded to a report of an armed man about 3:30 a.m. at an intersection just west of downtown. Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp told KGW-TV the man was “engaging in threatening activity” and refusing officer commands when he was shot. A neighbor reported hearing six to eight shots. No officers were injured. It was the seventh officer-involved killing in Washington in less than three weeks. Another man was wounded in a police shooting.
