Blasting resumes along I-90 at Snoqualmie Pass

Associated Press

HYAK, Wash. — After the Labor Day weekend break, the state Transportation Department is resuming rock blasting on a major project to widen Interstate 90 on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass.

The department says blasting will close the freeway in both directions between 7 and 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday along a seven-mile stretch between Hyak and Price Creek Sno Park.

The department says drivers also should expect lane and load restrictions at times through Saturday morning.
