Early morning fire in Cheney under investigation
Spokane County fire units and Cheney Fire Department crews Tuesday morning were mopping up a residential building fire that began near downtown Cheney early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say the fire started around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday at a rental house at 23 Fifth, in Cheney. No cause has been identified.
Initial reports say the blaze began in a parking lot nearby, starting with a fire that gutted a parked truck.
